After earning a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in 1982 from Dalian Aquaculture and Fisheries College, China, I attended Wageningen University in The Netherlands, where I took a Master of Science degree (cum laude) in fish nutrition, and later, a PhD in animal nutrition.  Following a post-doctoral project with the Fish Culture and Fisheries Group there, I worked as a nutritionist with the Archer Daniels Midland Company`s Specialty Ingredients Division (Europe) from 2002 to 2012. From 2010-2012, I also served technical manager for Schothorst Feed Research.

In December 2012, I joined the Global Innovation team at Danisco Animal Nutrition, where my primary area of research has focused on the effect of multi-enzyme/DFM combinations on performance and gut health in broilers, in addition to phytase applications for non-ruminants animals. 

Publications, citations, articles authored/co-authored: >Published 20 papers in peer reviewed journals and 30 conference proceedings, in addition to a book chapter, a booklet and numerous articles in commercial magazines.

Little known fact:I was born and raised in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, P.R. China. My partner, Frank, and I have three children (Jessica, Jennifer and Vincent). For a mother of three, I’m not bad at table tennis, but I’m much better at Chinese cooking!
